The cabinet is explicitly designed with the internal space and mounting provisions to house variable speed drives from other manufacturers, allowing users to stick to their preferred drive brand while upgrading the enclosure and filter protection.
Standard on all FC units, this filter guarantees an output voltage THDu < 5%. This allows the third-party drive to safely operate submersible motors over long cable lengths without causing insulation stress.

The cabinet meets NEMA 4 standards, providing protection against windblown dust, rain, splashing water, and hose-directed water, making it suitable for outdoor installation.
It utilizes a hermetic cooling system that separates the internal air (cooling the VSD) from the external dirty air. This prevents dust and moisture from contaminating the sensitive electronics of the integrated third-party drive.
The system includes built-in input switching controls and protective equipment, eliminating the need for the customer to build a separate switchgear cabinet.
