Not every job needs a full industrial automation platform. A small circulation pump, a rooftop extractor fan, a service elevator, a single air-conditioning unit — these run on single-phase power, don't need cascade logic or PLC integration, and shouldn't cost like they do.
AT24 UB-SP is built specifically for that segment: single-phase input, real vector control, and the core software a small or mid-size business actually needs — without paying for capability a 2 kW pump will never use.
It runs from ordinary single-phase 220 V mains and drives a standard 3-phase asynchronous motor — the same kind of motor used across the rest of the AT24 UB family, not a specialty single-phase motor that limits your options at replacement time.

The entry-level price point doesn't mean entry-level control. AT24 UB-SP runs the same three control methods as the rest of the AT24 UB platform: scalar V/f control for simple constant-torque loads, open-loop (sensorless) vector control for the great majority of pump and fan applications, and closed-loop vector control where a feedback encoder is fitted and tighter accuracy is required.

Rather than a bare V/f controller, AT24 UB-SP ships with the application logic that small pump, fan, and HVAC systems typically need day to day:
Two survivability algorithms specifically address the conditions a budget-conscious install is more likely to face — a warm utility room, a panel with less-than-ideal ventilation.
Automatic derating under high load protects the drive from an overload condition instead of faulting outright, while the drive reduces its PWM carrier frequency automatically at high internal temperature to bring heat generation back down before it becomes a shutdown.
AT24 UB-SP isn't cut down on communication just because it's the entry point of the family. RS-485 (Modbus RTU) and built-in Wi-Fi are both standard, and frequency can be set from the control panel, Wi-Fi, RS-485, digital inputs, analog inputs, a time relay, a calendar function, or the PID controller — whichever fits how the system is actually operated.
AT24 UB-SP is intended for mechanisms that don't need extensive process automation but still deserve real motor protection and control: small pumps, fans, air-conditioning systems, hoists, and elevators.
It is typically suited to the 0.75–4 kW range found in individual commercial units, small buildings, and light industrial equipment — anywhere a 3-phase drive on single-phase supply solves the problem without a larger platform's price tag.
