An Outward Glance: Assembly and Installation of DMS Triol TM01-09

The production of high-tech solutions for oil extraction is one of the most promising areas of our company’s activities. Today, within the framework of this blog, we want to discuss the process of assembling and mounting Triol ESP gauges namely Downhole measuring system.
So, the assembly and installation of Triol ESP gauge take place in several stages:
- Assembly and installation of the functional unit;
- Calibration by temperature and pressure;
- Vibration testing of electronics units;
- Assembly of body parts.
The dependence of the measured values of the reference values should have a practically linear dependence (visually), i.e. there should be no bends and distortions visible to the naked eye. In the case of single “pressure” emissions, they must be deleted (delete the entry in the “Data Entry” window). The difference in the readings of the pressure meter and UMKA should not exceed ± 42 atm.Leak tests.

Assembly of the coil
Unitized parts are assembled according to the requirements of the drawing. Special attention should be paid when installing the cover on the coils, violation of insulation on the coils is not allowed. After assembling the coil, inductance is monitored on the coils. In the case of deviations of the inductance values from the CD, the coils are rejected.
Assembling the bracket
Unitized parts, according to the specification, are twisted with M3 screws and transferred to the welding site.
Assembly and installation of the sealed lead-in
This stage begins with a survey of the axes in order to identify the defects. Triol Corporation carefully monitors the quality of products, so each stage is accompanied by a check for the absence of mechanical and other damage with the mandatory fixation of the result in the protocol. Then, stripping, fluxing, tinning of wires and their soldering to the axes is performed. Places of soldering must be wiped with alcohol solvent. A tube 203 is put on long wires. The assembly of the sealed lead-in includes the application of dielectric oil to the housing, the installation of sealing rings and the removal of the tube from the axes.
Assembly and installation of the function block
Units and parts included in the electronics block are assembled according to the technical requirements of the assembly drawing. First of all, the pressure sensor and it tightness control are installed. If the sensor is leaking during leakage control, it is replaced and the leak test is repeated.The TBIT and BVDCT units are mounted in the assembled electronics block. During installation, the wires are traced along the maximally extended route.
Calibration by temperature and pressure

Vibration tests of electronics units
The method of testing electronics blocks for vibration is that the test piece is attached to the test bench with a special device whose resonant frequencies lie above the upper limit of the frequency range of the standard vibration. During the tests, vibration is measured at several points located near the attachment points, and the vibration test signal is given by the signal from the vibration measuring transducer (SPS).
Assembly of body parts
The electronics module that has passed the test is allowed to be assembled with body parts (housing and adapter). The tightening of the fasteners is carried out using a torque wrench with the effort specified in the design documentation for the parameters.
The assembled submersible block TMP is tested for leakage in a pressure chamber at a pressure of 480 atm for 20 minutes. In the event that the pressure on the manometer isn’t holding, the immersion unit is considered not tested for leakage. If within 20 minutes the pressure does not drop, then the unit is recognized as fit and with appropriate notes in the protocol is allowed for shipment. In conclusion, I would like to note that the assembly and installation of a submersible telemetry unit is a laborious process that requires a systematic approach, following quality standards and responsible attitude.
